Natalie Burkard

7th & 8th ELA; 8th Grade Homeroom

Phone Number
My name is Natalie Burkard, or Mrs. Natalie to most! I have been teaching since 2006. I have my Bachelor's in Early Childhood Education and Special Education, my Master's as a Reading and Literacy Specialist, and a certification in Education Administration. I taught First grade for four years, Special Education for one year, and middle school ELA for the remainder. I love teaching. I can easily say that it is my career, not just a job. I want to not only teach my students but also make a difference in their lives.
While not at school, you can probably find me at home in Tracy City or at my husband's business, Mountain Auto, in Monteagle. We have two boys. My stepson, Jagger (an MES alumnus), is getting his TCAT Auto-Collision certification and looks to start working at our body shop. He is a great young man and we are very proud of him. Our son, Archer (born December 2019), is an unexpected blessing. He is a precious happy boy!
Please always feel free to contact me about anything. My door is always open to my students, their parents, and the community. Go Hornets!
