Greetings friends! My name is Mrs. Beth Myers. I’m sure the quote above gave you pause and with my being an educator, caused you to expect a deep, methodical quote about where we can go in life if we keep on keeping on, or some other life truth. I chose the one about laughter because I have an internal belief that to laugh is to be real and exude readiness for life, no matter how old one is. Besides if we don’t laugh when we are young, our wrinkles won’t be in the right place when we grow up (LOL). Also, to be too serious scoots out the element of fun and in my years as a teacher, learning is a product of fun. I have been married to and laughing with Sam Myers for 32 years. We have two sons, Jay who makes documentaries, and Clinton, an attorney. Also recently, Clinton gifted us a sweet daughter-in-law, Molly Grace. In my time out of the classroom, I enjoy being in my studio, or as some would call it, my kitchen. I love the exhilaration of creating a recipe, or attempting to follow one already created. I also love to travel, write, and play with my dogs. We have two dogs, Otis and Arlo.
I am so proud to be a part of Monteagle Elementary school and to experience the genuine sense of family we display. I currently teach 2nd grade, but during my years at MES, I have taught every grade expect Kindergarten and Pre-K.
